Rectify: The Avenging Angel
A supernatural historical-fantasy adventure about justice, sacrifice, purpose, and what comes after death.
When the mission outlives the man.
Dan Campbell, a Navy SEAL turned Delta Force operative, has dedicated his life to fighting sex traffickers and criminals, hoping to save others from the torment suffered by the only woman he ever loved. His heroism costs him his life.
Dan expects death to close the book. Instead, he receives a new post-mortal assignment as Rectify, the Avenging Angel. His first mission sends him to ancient Japan, where he discovers abilities beyond anything he imagined - and a role far more vital than he realized.
His first mission may also be his last.
History, consequence, and a larger purpose.
A revised and expanded edition is underway.
The current edition of Rectify: The Avenging Angel remains the published beginning of the series. Ryan is now returning to Book One to expand scenes, strengthen the narrative, deepen the world, and give the story the fuller treatment he originally wanted it to receive.
Updates on the revised edition will be posted on the What I'm Writing page.
